'Honest, hard working and good at his job'That's what Angela Grant said when asked to describe the service her family received from Ben recently.At a time when some estate agents go into overdrive about cutting edge technology, mass marketing strategies and other shiny new things we believe that some so called 'old fashioned' values are still worth a lot.That's why we loved hearing about Angela's enjoyable experience with us.Angela's family home in SE23 sold on the 29^th July 2015 so that experience is still very much fresh on their minds.Angela explained how a letter through her door led her to eventually instruct Benjamin Matthews as her family's agent.She said: “A letter landed on our doormat saying that Benjamin Matthews had sold the house across the road. I was thinking of selling so I popped over to the house and had a chat with the lady who lives there.“I asked if she would recommend Ben's company and she said 'yes, definitely'. So we invited three different agents over to our home to value the property and one of those was Ben.“We felt Ben was the most honest and realistic. He was very personable and my husband and I felt Ben could be trusted. We weren't at all put off by Ben not having a High Street office because like many people we did all our searches online so that wasn't important to us.”Having instructed Ben, the Grant's home received two offers within the first three weeks and they eventually accepted offer which completed at the end of July.Angela said: “I haven't needed the services of an estate agent for 16 or so years but have heard from some friends that they felt agents they had used hadn't deserved the money they received. This wasn't the case with Ben. He did all of the viewings except for one, was always available and approachable and worked in a balanced and practical way to get the job done.“He is honest, hard working and good at his job.”The Grants are now settling nicely into their new home and we asked them would they do what a neighbour did and recommend Ben?
