Every year for the past three I've valued a house on the outskirts of Forest Hill. Always at the start of April. It was starting to feel like Groundhog Day.Last month the gentleman who owns the place instructed me to sell it for him.He had no intention of selling the property until this year – so why the valuation visits beforehand?In his case he was just curious about the property's value. For me it wasn't a problem at all as ALL my valuations are free and are given with absolutely no obligation.Of course I'm glad I got the instruction but I understand there are many reasons to get valuations on your property and not just because you're thinking of selling at that time.These include pre a big refurbishment to gauge if the money you'll spend will give you a decent return.
