Property Viewers – A love / hate relationshipIt's that time of year again when the supermarkets and media demand that we get all romantic. A lot of the adverts and articles have a love theme running through them. Many are cheesier than a warehouse full of cheddar. For me it's all too predictable, too same old same old and anyway I like to do things differently. So below I've compiled a top five list of the things prospective buyers HATE when they are in search of a property.Clutter – The biggest turn off of all.Bad smells – No amount of canned air freshener (which I also loathe) can cover up an unchanged cat litter.Estate agents turning up late for viewings – I appreciate your time is valuable so if I am stuck in traffic or delayed I ALWAYS call to let viewers and vendors know.Vendors being in – Make yourself scarce, many buyers don't like looking around a house when the owner is present they feel awkward and will rush the viewing.Half finished projects – Not the biggest factor in dousing a viewer's passion but the majority of people do not want to inherit unfinished DIY projects. You might love the idea you began working on but that doesn't mean others will.So if you want people to fall head over heels in love (sorry) with your property avoid all of the above. Thanks for reading,BenPS: Oh and Happy Valentine's Day.PPS: I'm really not a grouch and I will make a fuss of Mrs M this weekend., It's that time of year again when the supermarkets and media demand that we get all romantic.
